The village
Manigod looks like no classic resort. The village is scattered: no snow front, but hamlets, chalets and farms spread across the slopes, linked by the road climbing to the Col de la Croix-Fry. This layout, inherited from farming life, gives Manigod a rural charm and a calm the big resorts have lost.
The valley is also discovered along its chapel route: six chapels, each attached to a hamlet, mark out an itinerary that tells of the faith and life of times past. The church of Saint-Pierre, in the centre, holds a fine organ. It’s a village where heritage is still alive.
Skiing
Manigod’s area, around the l’Étale sector, is linked to La Clusaz: with the Aravis pass, you reach the whole great area (around 125 km of pistes). On the Manigod side, skiing is family-friendly and quieter, perfect for beginners and for gentle skiing facing the Aravis. The resort also has the largest night-skiing space in Savoie Mont-Blanc, with several floodlit pistes.
