In Les Gets, you ski at the heart of the Portes du Soleil, one of the largest linked areas in the world: 12 resorts between France and Switzerland, hundreds of kilometres of pistes. The village is linked ski-in ski-out to Morzine and faces Mont Chéry, its quieter sector. It’s a very family-friendly, wooded and progressive area, ideal for improving without the crowds.
The ski area
Two sectors leave from the village. On the Les Gets–Morzine side, broad wooded runs drop towards Morzine and the whole Portes du Soleil area (Avoriaz, Châtel, Switzerland). Opposite, Mont Chéry is quieter, steeper in places, with fine panoramas — a sector loved by skiers seeking space. The Portes du Soleil pass opens the whole thing; a local Les Gets–Morzine pass is enough for the village sector.
Who it’s for
The area is family-friendly and accessible: broad green and blue runs, beginner areas, ski schools in the village. Strong skiers head to Avoriaz and the Portes du Soleil links, or seek out the slopes of Mont Chéry. It’s wooded skiing, pleasant even in poor weather.

Portes du Soleil passes and ski-school lessons are booked through the area operator and local schools. Compare the local pass and the Portes du Soleil pass according to your wish to roam as far as Switzerland.
