Pasture trail on Mont Chéry above Les Gets
Things to do

Hiking in Les Gets: Mont Chéry, pastures and the Portes du Soleil

In summer, Les Gets offers gentle, green mountains, ideal for family walks. From the village or the top of the lifts, the trails climb towards the pastures, Mont Chéry and the Portes du Soleil ridges, between forests and meadows. It’s accessible hiking, with fine panoramas over the Chablais and, in the distance, Mont Blanc.

Where to walk

Mont Chéry, opposite the village (reached on foot or by the summer gondola), offers a panoramic summit loop and pasture trails. On the Chavannes side, the summer-open lifts give access to the ridges and the links towards Morzine and the Portes du Soleil. Lower down, easy walks cross the pastures, farms and viewpoints. Themed and interpretation trails suit families well.

Booking

The trails are free to access; the summer-open gondolas shorten access to the ridges. For a guided outing — wildlife, plants, reading the landscape — call on the area’s mountain leaders.
