In Saint-Gervais, you ski facing Mont Blanc. The resort opens the Évasion Mont-Blanc area, one of the large linked areas of Haute-Savoie, shared with Megève. From the Bettex and Saint-Nicolas-de-Véroce, it’s broad, sunny and fairly gentle terrain, ideal for families and for skiers who love wide-open piste skiing facing the highest peak in the Alps.
The ski area
The Saint-Gervais sector (Le Bettex, Mont d’Arbois, Saint-Nicolas) is part of the Évasion Mont-Blanc: a vast area of green to black runs, linked to Megève and its summits. Its aspect and the panorama over the Mont Blanc range make for very bright skiing. The Évasion Mont-Blanc pass opens the whole thing; a local pass is enough for the Saint-Gervais sector.
Who it’s for
The area is family-friendly and comfortable: broad runs, ski schools, beginner areas at the Bettex. Strong skiers cross over to the Mont d’Arbois and Megève, or seek out the sector’s off-piste. It’s calmer, sunnier skiing than the high mountains of neighbouring Chamonix.
