In summer, La Clusaz opens its mountain-biking ground at the foot of the Aravis. The Beauregard gondola carries bikes up to a bike park with graded trails, and all around, the mountain offers enduro and cross-country routes in a setting of pastures. From families to experienced riders, everyone finds their descent.
The terrain
- The Beauregard bike park: served by gondola, graded downhill trails from green to black, to string runs together without pedalling up.
- Enduro in the Aravis: great mountain routes for those who like climbing as much as descending, with panoramas over the range.
- Cross-country and e-mountain bike: gentler loops around the village and the Confins, open to all.
How it works
You buy a bike pass giving access to the gondola fitted to carry bikes. Full-suspension and e-mountain-bike rental and protection are available on site, and instructors offer lessons and guided outings to progress or discover the best trails safely.
Booking
Lift passes, bike rental and coaching are booked with the resort, the rental shops and the bike schools of La Clusaz. In high season, book your rental ahead.
Good to know
Level. There are trails for everyone, but bike-park downhill calls for protection and a minimum of confidence. Beginners start on the green and blue runs.
Gear. A full-face helmet, protection and a suitable bike are essential for downhill; everything rents on site.
Season. From summer to autumn, when the MTB gondola runs. Check the opening dates.
E-mountain bike. Ideal for exploring the pastures and the Confins without the difficulty of the climb.
