The trails climb from the town towards the Aravis balconies, cross forests and pastures, and offer fine panoramas over the range and the valley. From families to regular walkers, everyone finds their route.
Where to walk
- The Roi du Mont: the emblematic hike above Thônes, a loop of around 5 km with a superb panorama over the Alps and the town, accessible to a fit walker.
- The Aravis balconies: forest and pasture trails that open onto the jagged range, to walk at your own pace.
- The Glières plateau: close by, a vast plateau of pastures ideal for family walks in summer and cross-country skiing in winter, and also a place of memory.
- The waterfalls: the valley has lovely waterfalls to discover along the trails, guaranteed coolness in summer.
