Aquariaz in Avoriaz: the altitude tropical water park

Swimming in your trunks in water at 29°C, surrounded by tropical plants, while it snows outside at 1,800 m: that’s the Aquariaz experience, the covered water park in Avoriaz. A striking contrast that makes it one of the resort’s most popular attractions, especially for families and days off the slopes.

What you’ll find

Under a large glass roof, Aquariaz recreates a tropical lagoon: warm water, palms and plants, rocks and waterfalls. There’s a swimming lagoon, a lazy river to drift along, slides and play areas for children, including an aquatic adventure course. The whole thing is designed as a warm interlude in the heart of winter.

Who it’s for

It’s above all a family outing, ideal with children, in bad weather or for a break from skiing. Older ones enjoy the slides and the current, the youngest the shallow zones. It’s also a way to unwind after a day on the pistes.

Booking

Tickets are bought directly from Aquariaz, at the entrance or online on the resort’s website. In high season and in bad weather, it gets busy: aim for the opening slots and check the hours, which vary by season.
