Skiing in Morillon means access to the Grand Massif in a gentle, family atmosphere. The linked area, one of the largest in the Alps (around 265 km of pistes between five resorts), opens from Morillon-les-Esserts, at 1,100 m, where you ski-in/ski-out. The village (700 m) reaches Les Esserts by gondola.

- The Grand Massif link: from Les Esserts, you reach Samoëns, Les Carroz, Flaine (the highest) and Sixt, on one pass.

Who it suits
Morillon is one of the best choices in the Grand Massif for families and beginners: progressive slopes, playful spaces, and the guarantee of skiing bigger and higher thanks to the link. Strong skiers find their match across the whole area, up to the altitude of Flaine.
Booking
Grand Massif passes are bought from the resort, online or at the lift ticket offices. For lessons, head to the ESF or a local ski school, and book early during school holidays. The Grand Massif pass covers the whole linked area.
Good to know
Two altitudes. The village is at 700 m, Les Esserts at 1,100 m; the gondola links the two. For ski-in/ski-out, aim for Les Esserts.
Area altitude. Flaine (up to 2,480 m) secures the Grand Massif’s snow in the heart of the season.
Best timing. January and February for snow, December for the atmosphere. Avoid the peak of school holidays if you can.
With the family. Morillon is renowned for its family welcome and reasonable rates.
