Skiing in La Chapelle-d'Abondance: Crêt-Béni and the Portes du Soleil

In La Chapelle-d’Abondance, you ski in peace while accessing one of the largest areas in the world. The village has its own family sector, Crêt-Béni, sunny and progressive, and gives access to the Portes du Soleil: 12 linked resorts between France and Switzerland, via Châtel and the border. Ideal for those who want big skiing without the crowds.

The ski area

The Crêt-Béni sector, above the village, offers gentle, sunny runs, perfect for families and learning. For the big area, you reach Châtel and cross onto the Portes du Soleil (Avoriaz, Morzine, Morgins and Switzerland). The Portes du Soleil pass opens the whole thing; a local pass is enough for Crêt-Béni. On the border side, the link to Torgon (Switzerland) rounds out the terrain.
