The Segway is a fun way to cover Annecy without tiring yourself out: you glide along the lake and through the lawns of the Pâquier, stop at the viewpoints, and see in an hour what would take half a day on foot. It’s one of the best-rated activities in town, and you get the hang of it instantly.
The experience
After a short briefing, you set off in a small group behind a guide. The machine is intuitive: lean forward to go, straighten up to slow down. The routes follow the lakeshore, the Pâquier (the big esplanade) and the edges of the old town, where the Segway goes better than a car and faster than legs.
